There are multiple versions of meningitis, the worst of them can be deadly in under 24 hours, even with treatment, we get warned about it at school before we're going to celebrate our last year of high school as russ, it's easy to get it if you have little sleep, yell and drink a lot etc.

It came as a shock to me when I heard about this, I didn't really belive it at first, but when I saw everyone commenting on his facebook and steam page I understood it was a real, I started crying because I knew I would never hear his voice again, would never be able to play games with him. So if anyone is intrested i semi-translated this from the news of this case which i completly overlooked:

"Contagious meningococcal disease spreads by droplet infection, but there is little risk of becoming infected. The commune still encourages people with symptoms such as headache and fever, to quickly consult a physician.

According to the municipality, it is now confirmed that the bacterium is meningococcal type C. This means that everyone who is vaccinated against meningitis in the last couple of years, is covered by this vaccine." (http://www.dagbladet.no/2015/05/22/nyheter/helsevesen/sykdom/39304879/)
