Nobody here is suffering memory loss or being sarcastic. I sure wasn't being sarcastic when I asked all those questions! I asked what the hell you meant because the things you described just outright don't apply to me. You were just being cryptic and using metaphors about "layers of sarcasm" and being "edgy" and whatever instead of speaking about actual things I did anyway. It almost seems like out of all the people "involved", being me, Noomie, Owen, Destructive, Islu and you, you are the only one who doesn't actually know what happened.
I sort of understand what you did and why you did it, but the problem is that I didn't even know
that I was involved. I know what sparked the whole thing was an "RDM" I made, but whatever Islu and Destructive were complaining about both on the server and to you was its own thing. I think they mainly complained about power abuse and whatnot.
Here's a quick rundown: I see Islu (or Destructive) shoot an innocent guy. I shoot the killer. The killer was also innocent and told me that it was RDM since I should have known that he shot him in self-defense, which I didn't because I just came in the room. (Something like that, I may be remembering that wrong.)
Anyway, since my answer to his report was plausible enough and nobody had proof I RDM'd (innocent until proven guilty etc.), which I still think I didn't, I didn't get slain.
I did tell the admins (Noomie or Owen or whoever it was) to slay me after Destructive complaining for like 10 minutes, but that didn't stop him.
I see that one tiny pseudo-RDM and whatever they complained about to you as two seperate problems. I never really had the impression that I even had anything to do with whatever they told you. Since I didn't wanna be involved in yet another TTT-server-admin-corruption-drama (which is why I left admin in the first place), I decided to overcompensate for that by not taking ANYTHING related to it seriously and at the same time ridiculing the entire situation. (I still think it's ridiculous, but how I went about it was obviously stupid and I'm sorry for that.)
The actual shitstorm (that was just an incident in the middle of the night that passed as quickly as it it happened and didn't even have that many witnesses) that followed was just a mix of an arguably weird decision and poor communication. I'm saying "arguably weird" because I can see why you demoted everyone, but at the same time I would have never thought of doing something even remotely like what you did. (Probably because I've known all of them for a while.)
The part about the poor communication is the interesting one.
So apart from the fact that I never fucking told you anything about what happened from my point of view until this very moment, you also didn't really get your intentions across very well.
From my point of view, you just seemed like an insane dictator who didn't even deserve his power (a "tyrannus absque titulo", if I remember the book I read like an hour ago correctly. Teehee!) and completely misplaced his anger. It didn't seem like
"There is a conflict and I want to solve it, but fucking Watsuda isn't taking it seriously and since I can't solve it in a traditional way, I'll have to get the message across another way",
it seemed more like
"Those two random guys I don't even know told me that two other admins I don't even know are biased and I am going to instantly believe them. Additionally, some other random guy who is just a player on the server who has nothing to do with the problem at hand doesn't take the problem seriously so I am just going to demote the two allegedly biased admins for 'being involved with an edgy guy' and also some other admins who weren't even there because why the fuck not".
Now you could say:
"But...Watsuda, if you didn't think I didn't communicate well enough with you, then why did you just delete me from friends and refuse to take anything I say seriously? And why do you get your anger out of your system by writing sarcastic references about toe stubbing like a child instead of actually talking about it like you are doing right now?!"
To which I'd say:
"Shit, good point."
I'm gonna explain a bit further why I didn't take you or the situation seriously. Let's say the shitstorm came in two waves.
Wave 1: The RDM on the server.
The initial reason I didn't take the situation seriously is that I didn't even know I was involved in a situation. There was an RDM thingie but that got solved. Since the way it lead to a discussion about biased staff and corruption was so indirect and had nothing to do with me, even though I caused it (just like my grandma giving birth to my mother would be a "cause" of me stabbing a homeless guy), I didn't feel like taking it seriously or partaking in any discussion about it since I was punished for it anyway. (Compare it to a suspect to a case paying a fee so he won't have to go to court and then getting schlepped to court anyway. He'd be pissed!)
Wave 2: The whole demotion thing and the discussion on the forums.
As soon as I saw that you blamed me for it in any way (I still thought I had nothing to do with the situation, mind you) I just couldn't take it seriously at all! This is the moment where I got the impression I described colored in red above.
Not only that, it made me feel really uneasy. I never really had a problem with the server's higher admins, and then you came along and acted impulsive enough to just demote people I'd consider friends and blaming me for it. Again, poor communication on both ends. Still, I see that you and I agree on the fact that demoting everyone was a very questionable way to go about it. Quite extreme.
Here's a funny little thing only three people know:
I laughed about it with Islu and Destructive right after it happened on Teamspeak because I realized that they didn't take the situation seriously either. They told me that they legitimately didn't like the higher staff of the server and used the "RDM" I caused as a reason to complain to you and cause some drama before leaving the server forever. The drama that unfolded was more dramatic that they had ever expected, which made it even funnier.
Now this is just me saying that and I wouldn't mind if you thought I lied, but I don't wanna keep my mouth shut about it anyway. Making it seem like someone was just causing chaos, yeah right. If you don't believe me, why believe them? You randomly trusted them and demoted two people and now you say the reason for that is "being involved with an edgy guy"?! So them talking to me, the guy having nothing to do with the situation that you decided to hate, is a reason to demote them on a whim because some guys are saying they are biased?
As a little PS at the end of the humble little text I just wrote: That Old thread link doesn't work. I don't know what it's supposed to be linking to (I guess the thread you made one day later?) but as far as I know, that thread was gone a day after it was made. I thought it was deleted until now. I guess it's only visible to you? Try logging out and clicking it.
